IMPACT HUB Oakland
In this interactive session of the Oakland Maker’s forum we will discuss, take questions, and get feedback about what’s happening around Maker training in the Bay Area. Come hear about manufacturing education in the high schools and community colleges, digital fab labs, apprenticeships and other activities around creating the Makerforce of tomorrow.
The Bay Area has received a large number of grants recently to begin strengthening current programs, and building new ones. This is a great opportunity for those from industry to learn how to become more involved with education, as well as for those in education to understand how the Maker Movement can be a part of their contextualized curriculum. Mark Martin from Laney College will lead the discussion.
